Description:

This learning program is designed to introduce you to the disease state and clinical management of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a heterogeneous group of neoplastic lymphatic disorders. Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma accounts for about 4% of all cancers in the United States. It is the sixth most common malignancy in women and the seventh most common malignancy in men. An accurate diagnosis and staging of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma determines the subtype, the extent of the disease, as well as the patient prognosis, and contritbutes to the optimal management of the disease. The program begins with an insight into the characteristcs of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and its different types. You will learn about the risk factors, epidemiology, and pathophysiology of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. You will also learn about the clinical diagnosis of this disease and available treatment options.
